As change in the environment continually forces communities to adapt, I look for opportunities to collaborate with stakeholders on natural resource issues. By creating spaces for discussion, exploring threats, and involving local participation for researching solutions, I work to improve decision making, planning processes, and adaptive capacity. From mountain towns in Colorado to protected areas in Mexico, I have been part of cross-cultural teams confronting the threats that place communities, livelihoods, and the environment at risk.
