Abinash BhattachanAbi is a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources. For the SALT project, his work focuses on studying the impacts of landscape salinization on ecosystems in coastal North Carolina. Currently he is developing indices of landscape vulnerability to salinization with goals to integrate these indices into formal assessments of climate and land use impacts.
Abi received his BS in Watershed Science from Utah State University in 2006 and MS in Environmental Science from Indiana University in 2008 and PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia in 2013. In his dissertation, he studied the effects of dune mobilization and land degradation in the Southern Kalahari. |
